Tamdhu was born in 1897, on the banks of the river spey. Two years later, Dalbeallie station was completed – bringing barley, passengers, and the finest sherry casks from Spain. Although the station closed in 1965, our story does not end there. Like Tamdhu distillery itself, we have restored Dalbeallie station to its full splendour. It is now a well-loved landmark for walkers on the Speyside Way, as they re-trace the route of the former railway
